I am an accidental cartoonist.
I started making shark cards as a silly gesture for my friend when he was in the hospital, and he said I should continue drawing and do something with my sharks. Drawing sharks is my tribute to him.
Richard was a fantastic jazz, gospel, and blues keyboard player. More importantly, he was fearless to speak out about social justice, and he displayed incredible courage, resilience, and humor during his illness. Hopefully these cheerful little sharks can convey some of those characteristics.
